At Borelli Investment Company, we’re known for our speed of service. But when we really want to turn heads, we call on Borelli Racing.

Motor sports have been a passion of Ralph Borelli’s for many years. Ralph holds a vintage SCCA racing license, issued by the SCCA, and is also a member of the Green Flag Driving Association and the Nor-Cal Shelby Club.

In 1999, Ralph purchased the #22-Maxwell House — a 1991 Ford Thunderbird (pdf), which raced on the Winston Cup circuit from 1991 to 1993, and captured the pole position at the Daytona 500 in 1992. The car has been restored to its original racing condition and is currently being raced in the Historic Stock Car Racing Series (HSCRS) in events up and down the West Coast.

Borelli Racing has donated the use of the #22 to help raise money in a number of auctions held by schools and charitable organizations. Borelli Investment Company also offers special rides from time to time to brokers and other business associates as promotional incentives.

In addition, fans can see the car when it runs in events throughout the West, including the third annual San José Grand Prix in downtown San Jose July 27-29, 2007. View list of upcoming and past racing events.

The #22 Maxwell House Historic Stock Car participated in a mock race with the historic stock cars on the track of the San José Grand Prix on July 31, 2005 and July 30, 2006. We look forward to doing it again at the race in July, 2007! Take a look at photos from the 2006 San Jose Grand Prix.

Race to Stop Cancer
Take the Ride of Your Life

Borelli Racing and Borelli Investment Company have been driving forces behind HSCRS Ride of Your Life—an opportunity to experience the thrill of auto racing first-hand, while contributing to Canary Foundation’s worthwhile causes. Leading owners—including Ralph Borelli—of classic NASCAR stock cars have made the passenger seat in their cars available to selected Canary Foundation donors to ride in the Historic Stock Car Racing Series (HSCRS) race held on the San José Grand Prix circuit on Saturday morning.

Founded in 2004 by high-technology executive Don Listwin, Canary Fund is dedicated to helping researchers find new ways to detect cancer in its earliest, most curable stages. (Canary Fund draws its name from the use of canaries as an early warning system to alert miners about dangerous carbon monoxide conditions in coal mines.) View the latest newsletter from The Canary Foundation.

Generous contributors to the HSCRS Ride of Your Life will see, feel and hear everything the driver does as cars hurtle around the course at speeds of up to 140 mph. All money raised by the HSCRS goes directly to Canary Foundation. To-date, HSCRS has raised more than $100,000 through various events and activities. To donate, contact Ralph Borelli at ralph@borelli-inv.com or by calling (408) 453-4700. Find out more about Canary Foundation.
