A lifelong resident of the Santa Clara Valley, Monte started as a part-time bookkeeper for N. G. Borelli Realtor’s property management operations in 1980, while finishing his college degree. Upon graduation, Monte joined the firm full-time and has remained with Borelli Investment Company ever since. As senior vice president and asset manager, Monte is involved in developing sales and management strategies for the company’s buildings and land investments, including planning for timely acquisitions and dispositions. He has been instrumental in directing the company’s growth from 250,000 square feet under management to today’s portfolio of more than three million square feet of space. As part of his asset management and leasing responsibilities, Monte oversaw the $2.5 million renovation and conversion of an under-leased two-story garden office complex into AirTech Office Condominiums. He was involved in many facets of the task, from construction management to sales of the condominium units. Monte earned his business degree from Santa Clara University, and is also an alumnus of Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose. He is a past member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), and holds the professional designation of Real Property Administrator (RPA) conferred through the Building Owners and Managers Institute’s property management program. |
